Chicago.. . home... LA farewell..

So as you may have heard I have moved on from NovaStor and have began my work with a very ambitious company called DataHEALTH.  They primarily provide online backup services.  I have been brought aboard to help expand the business and customerbase to a larger demographic than just the medical industry.  This is a very exciting opportunity for me and the people I will be working in collaboration with are very great and intelligent people to work with.

My first weekend was pretty eventful / non-eventful.  I got in Thursday which was Chicago's coldest day in history from the past 8 years.  Of course flying into Chicago was a headache as always during the winter time.  I had  a layover in Phoenix and of course since I went the Cheap-ass route for my fare which actually ended up costing me quite a bit (stupid luggage fees!!) . The plane that was making the trip from Phoenix to Chicago had something wrong on it... so everyone was boarded and then the infamous intercom anoucement "Folks, the engineers are working on this issue, they are estimating 1 - 1.5 hours"  I was like great! So knowing me, I can't sit still for the life of me I'm fidgiting like ahhh com'on lets fucking move already!.  Once we got landed I was sooo cold in the jetway and the terminal I was like there is no way this is going to work.  So I got my taxi, who did an amazing job of avoiding the rush hour bullshit, and made it to the Westin on Michigan Ave. right around 4:30PM.  Then me and my friend went to one our favorite places to Tavern on Rush which serves the best Prime Rib Steak Teryaki lil sticker thinger for an appetizer that I've had.

On Friday I just kinda hanged low and stayed in my hotel room for the most part and watched movies and dicked around on the internet for a little while.  After I got a little restless I went and got a haircut at probably one of the best Male only Hair Salon that I've ever been to called (halo)For Men which I just have to say if you've never experienced a salon treatment and you're a guy.  Just go get a haircut here and you'll just demand more because its an amazing place.   Gorgeous and helpful staff - aside from that they do a parafin treatment for your hand. For those who are asking what the hell a parafin treatment is... it's the bath that they take in the movie Wanted to "heal" themselves.  Simply put it feels fucking amazing and makes your hands so soft.  The haircut was done exclusively with a razor and very minimal scissors and it when she was done Styling my hair I was like WOW, and then hit the cash register and was pretty surprised it was a minimal $45 service which i was somewhat expecting it to be around 60 with everything that was being done.  On top of that they schedule a two week touch up cut free of charge.  It was a pretty awesome experience.   So I was kinda getting the itch to do something... later in the night and I just ended up walking around for a little bit realizing it was flipping freezing out.  So I headed back to the Westin and went to the restaurant / bar inside the hotel called The Grille, which is a great place to just grab a bowl of Manhattan Clam Chowder and a Pilsner Urquel.  Oh, I also went and picked up my keys to my apartment which was another great thing.

Saturday was a very memorable night.. me and a couple friends were out walking around michigan ave while it was snowing and it was just an awesome sight to see.

Well today's Sunday, and I'm going to be spending my first night in my apartment.  its so relieving having my own place.   It's just something that is fulfilling like a checkmark off on life's list of things that you need to do.
