I’ve always been a huge fan of Windows Live Writer when I was previously using Wordpress to write my posts. It’s always been a pretty great utility to use to streamline your writing and making it easier and more accessible to write your content. The default installation of Drupal 6.12 the Blog API does not work correctly with Windows Live Writer and I was just accepting the fact that I couldn’t use it for the time being until it was fixed. I stumbled on the WLW BlogAPI module that has corrected this isssue for me which I’m very grateful.
The plugin installation is very easy. Download the module from here -- http://drupalmodules.com/module/windows-live-writer-blogapi
Extract and upload to your modules directory.
You will need to disable the BlogAPI core module to leverage the WLW BlogAPI
Inside WLW just configure your blog account as you normally would configure and off you go.
